The automatic engine in-air starting strategy comprises the following steps: judging whether the unmanned aerial vehicle is in an engine in-air starting envelope or not, and if the unmanned aerial vehicle is not in the engine in-air starting envelope, controlling the unmanned aerial vehicle to dive until the unmanned aerial vehicle enters the engine in-air starting envelope. By upgrading the unmanned aerial vehicle, the speed can be increased after the height is reduced, the accelerator can be sequentially located in the parking position and the slow position, the automatic starting strategy of the engine can be achieved in a dual starting mode of the accelerator and instructions, the survival property of the unmanned aerial vehicle is improved, the burden of ground operators is alleviated, and the dependency of the unmanned aerial vehicle on a data chain is alleviated.
