The invention aims to solve the problem of braking failure caused by long-distance downhill or a braking system fault of the conventional explosion-proof rubber-tired vehicle under a coal mine well, and provides an auxiliary braking device for an explosion-proof rubber-tired vehicle. The auxiliary braking device for the explosion-proof rubber-tired vehicle comprises an execution mechanism, a control system and a performance warning system, wherein the execution mechanism comprises an explosion-suppression water-cooled casing connected with an explosion-proof diesel engine exhaust system, a valve core provided with a controllable throttle plate, a self-lubricating positioning sleeve and a valve core control mechanism. When the rubber-tired vehicle needs auxiliary braking, the control system can be operated manually to control the execution mechanism to convert a rubber-tired vehicle explosion-proof diesel engine into an auxiliary braking source, the explosion-proof diesel engine can be closed if necessary, so that the braking capacity is increased, the safety braking of the vehicle is guaranteed, and normal operation of the explosion-proof diesel engine is guaranteed through matching with a monitoring device of the performance warning system.
