The invention discloses a control system for a parking lot positioned over the road. The controller comprises a controller module and a power supply, wherein the controller module is connected with a data storage module and a clock module; a camera, an infrared detection device and a gravity sensor are connected to the input end of the controller module; a signal conditioning circuit is connected between the gravity sensor and the controller module; a display screen, an emergency stop button, a driving circuit module for controlling a motor and a timer are connected to the output end of the controller module; the controller module is also connected with a wireless communication module. According to the control system disclosed by the invention, the structure is simple, the design is reasonable, plenty of time can be saved for drivers, and the jamming phenomenon of an entrance and an exit of the parking lot is reduced; meanwhile, the utilization rate of the parking lot is improved, and the convenience is provided for modern overhead parking lots.
