The invention discloses a traffic light for mountain roads, which comprises a hollow cuboid post, the post is installed at the roadside of a curve in a mountainous area, traffic lamps are mounted on one side, which faces the curve, of the post, solar photovoltaic panels are mounted on the other three sides of the post, a convex mirror is mounted at the top of the post, a light shield is arranged at the top end of the convex mirror, infrared detectors which are used for detecting and collecting automobile signals are respectively mounted at both sides of the back of the convex mirror, a storage battery and a controller are mounted in the post, one end of the storage battery is electrically connected with the solar photovoltaic panels, the other end of the storage battery is electrically connected with the controller and the traffic lamps, and the controller is electrically connected with the two infrared detectors and the traffic lamps. The traffic light for mountain roads is structurally simple, is reasonably designed, can effectively solve the traffic problems of curves in mountainous areas, does not need to be wired, is electrified by solar energy, is low in cost and highly practical, and is suitable for popularization and use.
