The invention provides a train network control system and an application downloading method. The application downloading method comprises that a loading device transmits a downloading instruction to a central control unit; then the central control unit transmits the downloading instruction to an electric control device indicated by the downloading instruction; when receiving the transmitted downloading instruction, the electric control device downloads a first application from a downloading device via the central control unit. Therefore, all electric control devices can download from the downloading device through the central control unit, and debugging maintenance personnel can save a process of preparing downloading cables applicable to various application downloading interfaces and downloading applications in positions where the electric control devices are located, and further the application downloading efficiency can be improved.
