The invention relates to the technical field of ships, in particular to a glass fiber reinforced plastic composite ship stern tube. The stern tube is provided with a machined iron cast tube, and is characterized in that the outer wall of the cast iron tube is provided with a glass fiber reinforced plastic protective layer, wherein the inner wall of the cast iron tube is provided with a glass fiber reinforced plastic layer of not smaller than 3 mm and an inner surface layer made of a composite material; the inner surface layer is formed by pasting a fiber M300 chopped strand mat, R600 checked cloth and R800 checked cloth for at least three times; the thickness of the inner surface layer is 3-6 mm to form good fitting with a bearing and a seal ring; the thickness of the glass fiber reinforced plastic protective layer is 2-4 mm. The stern tube of a cast iron part is comprehensively sealed with soil by using a glass fiber reinforced plastic composite material, so the iron stern tube is effectively prevented from being corroded by seawater; the stern tube has the advantages of easiness in machining, material saving, low production cost, high corrosion resistance capacity and the like.
