The invention discloses a motor vehicle (15) having an energy storage device (12) charged by inductive coupling with a fixed inductive charging pint with an inductive coupling member (25) installed on the vehicle. A three-diemensional positioning mechanism (20) is used to position the inductive coupling member (25) so that the inductive coupling member (25) is aligned with the fixed charging point and close to the fixed charging point and the high coupling efficiency beteen the inductive coupling member (26) and the fixed charging pint is ensured. The advantage of using the three-diemensional positioning mechanism (20) is that the inductive coupling member (25) can be accurately positionined without accurately positioning the motor vehicle (15).
