The invention discloses a novel railway engineering vehicle. The novel railway engineering vehicle is characterized in that a cab and a power system are arranged on an engineering vehicle, a crane is arranged at the rear of the engineering vehicle, a direct-current motor is mounted on a frame of the engineering vehicle, a transmission is mounted on one side of the direct-current motor, an ultra-large-capacitance capacitor is mounted on the other side of the direct-current motor, a fuel cell and a fuel tank are adjacent to the ultra-large-capacitance capacitor, and a fuel pump is mounted on the fuel tank. The novel railway engineering vehicle has the advantages that fuel can be delivered to the fuel cell by the fuel pump at regular time, direct currents can be generated after the fuel is added to the fuel cell, the ultra-large-capacitance capacitor can be charged by the direct currents, a large quantity of electric energy can be stored in the ultra-large-capacitance capacitor, the motor can work by the aid of the large quantity of stored electric energy which is supplied to the direct-current motor after the ultra-large-capacitance capacitor is completely charged, power can be transmitted to the transmission by the direct-current motor, power outputted by the transmission further can be transmitted to a driving portion of the engineering vehicle, and accordingly the engineering vehicle can work.
