The invention provides a gas spring mounting reinforcement plate structure which comprises a rear wheel cover assembly, a body-side outer panel, a gutter channel and a rear transverse beam of a roof. The rear wheel cover assembly is welded with the body-side outer panel, the gutter channel and the rear transverse beam of the roof to form a white body and comprises a C-column outer reinforcement plate, a gas spring mounting reinforcement plate, a gas spring mounting nut and a body-side inner panel, and the gas spring mounting reinforcement plate is welded with the gas spring mounting nut, the C-column outer reinforcement plate and the body-side inner panel. The invention further provides a method for assembling the gas spring mounting reinforcement plate. The gas spring mounting reinforcement plate structure and the method have the advantages that the rigidity of gas spring mounting points can be improved, and the gas spring mounting reinforcement plate structure can be guaranteed against deforming or cracking when stern door opening and closing gas spring loads are borne by the gas spring mounting reinforcement plate structure, is reliable and durable and is lightened on the premise that the requirement on the rigidity of the gas spring mounting points is met.
