The invention provides a pawl expansion device of a universal capturing docking mechanism for high-orbit satellites. The pawl expansion device comprises a capturing rod, a pawl, a petal support, a guide rail support, a plurality of petal type locking pieces and a supporting guide rail, wherein crown heads with cone-shaped front and rear edges are arranged at the front end of the capturing rod, and the rear end of the capturing rod bears the input of driving force; the pawl is annularly encircled and mounted on the capturing rod, teeth are arranged at the front end of the pawl, and a guide boss is arranged on the outer surface of the pawl; the petal support encircles the capturing rod, a guide bar is arranged on the outer surface of the petal support, an inclined plane is arranged at the rear end of the guide bar, and the inclined plane is matched with the teeth on the front end of the pawl; two groups of guide rail grooves are formed in the inner surface of the guide rail support and are respectively matched with the guide boss and the guide bar, and oblique tooth-shaped grooves are formed in the front ends of the guide rail grooves; the petal type locking pieces are uniformly distributed around the capturing rod, and the bottoms of the petal type locking pieces are fixedly connected to the petal support; the supporting guide rail is connected to the guide rail support, a spring is accommodated inside the supporting guide rail, and the spring abuts against the supporting guide rail and the petal type locking pieces. The pawl expansion device provided by the invention is positioned inside the capturing mechanism, and the extending, stretching and returning of the petal type locking pieces are realized by a driving mechanism; the paw expansion device is simple in structure and convenient and reliable in operation.
