The invention provides a millimeter-wave radar-based forward anti-collision warning method, which comprises the following steps: S1, measuring the distance D from a vehicle to a preceding vehicle through millimeter-wave radar; S2, reading the speed and the acceleration of the vehicle from a CAN (controller area network) line; S3, computing the safe distance according to safe distance formulas: Dw=V2/2(a-f)+V*(T+s); Dbr=V2/2(a-f)+V*Ts, wherein Dw refers to the warning distance; Dbr refers to the automatic braking distance; V refers to the speed of the vehicle; a refers to the acceleration of the vehicle; f refers to an acceleration correction value; T refers to the braking time; Ts refers to the reaction time of automatic braking; s refers to a braking time correction value; as the further improvement of the millimeter-wave radar-based forward anti-collision warning method provided by the invention, S4, judging the safe distance formulas for computing in the step S3, and carrying out corresponding actions. The millimeter-wave radar-based forward anti-collision warning method disclosed by the invention has the beneficial effects a warning is given to a vehicle owner or the actions are implemented to the vehicles, and the like according to different warning grades, and therefore the anti-collision effect is achieved, the rear-end collision is effectively reduced, and the traffic accidents are reduced.
