The invention provides a drive device applied to a rear wheel of a four-wheel drive electric vehicle. The drive power loss can be minimized in the process of four-wheel drive, and the drive power loss in the process of two-wheel drive is prevented through preventing the generation of load based on a differential device. The drive device comprises a first motor, a motor inner shaft, a reduction gear set, a differential device, a separator input shaft, a wheel speed sensor, a controller, a motor drive, a second motor, a shifting fork and a sleeve, wherein the motor inner shaft is installed in the first motor and penetrates through the first motor, and one end of the motor inner shaft is connected to the rear wheel; the reduction gear set is connected to the first motor; the differential device comprises a right differential gear connected to the motor inner shaft and a differential box connected to the reduction gear set; one end of the separator input shaft is connected to a left differential gear of the differential device and the other end of the separator input shaft is connected or disconnected with a hub; the controller is used for outputting a signal used for connecting the separator input shaft to the hubs; the shifting fork is connected to the second motor; and the sleeve is connected to the shifting fork, and used for connecting or disconnecting the separator input shaft with the hub.
