A tank ventilation valve has a housing, a closing member, a sealing seat, a first space and a second space connected to the first space via a control opening that surrounds the sealing seat. The closing member is arranged on the sealing seat in sealed manner through a spring. The spring pretensions the closing member against the sealing seat and closes the control opening. The closing member opens as a function of a pressure difference between the first and second spaces. The closing member is raised at the opening position and the control opening is opened. The first space is connected to a first line connects to fresh air. The second space is connected to a second line that is attachable to a filter. Structure is provided to exert a further negative pressure on the closing member to move the closing member into the open position.
