The invention discloses a transmission mechanism of an electric drive wheel, a single-wheel balance car with the transmission mechanism and a double-wheel balance car with the transmission mechanism. According to the embodiment, the transmission mechanism comprises a wheel carrier, a motor is fixed to the inner wall of the wheel carrier, an output shaft of the motor is connected with a first gear, the first gear is meshed with a second gear, and the second gear is coupled to the wheel carrier in a rotatable mode. The periphery of the wheel carrier is sleeved with a hub (or a rim), the hub is coupled to the wheel carrier in a rotatable mode, a gear ring is fixed to the inner wall of the hub, a tire is fixed to the outer wall of the hub, and the gear ring is meshed with the second gear so that under driving of the second gear, the tire fixed to the hub can be driven to rotate without rotating the wheel carrier.
