The invention discloses a vehicle distance control system which comprises a vehicle body. Front wheel fenders are arranged on front wheels of the vehicle body. A vehicle speed control device is arranged on the right side in the vehicle body. Ultrasonic wave generating devices are arranged on the front wheel fenders. A control box is arranged on the vehicle body. An oriented ultrasonic wave receiving device is arranged on the control box. A computation system and a control system are arranged in the control box. The control system of the control box is connected to an alarm and the vehicle speed control device through wires respectively. By means of the vehicle distance control system, the defects of the prior art are overcome, and the design and the structure are reasonable; distance detectors are arranged on the wheel fenders to intelligently control an electric vehicle, when the vehicle gets too close to an object in front, an alarm prompt such as 'attention, slow down please' is sent out, when the distance is decreased to a certain value, the electric vehicle is controlled and forced to slow down, and therefore the driving safety is ensured, the use safety of the electric vehicle on urban roads is improved, the driving habit that some users only pursuit the speed without paying attention to safety is changed, and a new direction is provided for the development of the electric vehicle.
