The invention provides a bus route broadcasting method and system based on an APP (application). The system comprises a vehicle-mounted GPRS (general packet radio service) module (5), the bus broadcasting APP (6), a mobile terminal voice synthesis module (7), a vehicle-mounted controller (1), a vehicle-mounted GPS (global positioning system) terminal (2), a vehicle-mounted voice synthesis module (3) and a vehicle-mounted display screen (4), wherein the bus broadcasting APP (6) receives current station information sent by the vehicle-mounted GPRS module (5) and controls the mobile terminal voice synthesis module (7) for voice broadcasting. The system can provide voice broadcasting for a user, and the user is only required to turn on the bus broadcasting APP and select to-be-inquired bus numbers to know arrival information of buses through voice broadcasting instead of looking up a mobile phone in real time, so that the use convenience is greatly improved for the user.
