The invention discloses a traffic lamp control system based on traffic flow detection, and belongs to the technical field of automatic control. The traffic lamp control system is characterized by comprising a controller (1), a transverse street red lamp (2), a transverse street yellow lamp (3), a transverse street green lamp (4), a longitudinal street red lamp (5), a longitudinal street yellow lamp (6), a longitudinal street green lamp (7), a transverse street sidewalk red lamp (8), a transverse street sidewalk green lamp (9), a longitudinal street sidewalk red lamp (10), a longitudinal street sidewalk green lamp (11), a wireless sensor network (12), an information acquisition node (13) and an information gathering node (14). Compared with the prior art, the traffic lamp control system disclosed by the invention has the advantages of being simple in structure, convenient to control and repair, high in reliability and the like.
