The invention relates to an automatic vehicle scheduling method and system. The method comprises steps as follows: multiple vehicle demand messages are received, and departure time and destination positions are determined; vehicle demand messages that the departure time is in the same range are screened out; destination positions of the screened vehicle demand messages are compared, and if the distance of the destination positions of the vehicle demand messages is smaller than a threshold value, the vehicle demand messages are combined to generate a booking sheet; vehicles are scheduled according to the generated booking sheet. The system comprises a receiving module, a screening module, a comparing module, a first judging module, a booking sheet generating module and a vehicle scheduling module. Therefore, the utilization rate of the vehicle is increased.
