The invention relates to a traction type elevator anti-brake loosening safety device. The traction type elevator anti-brake loosening safety device is characterized in that an electromagnetic self-locking device is additionally arranged on an original braking system, wherein the electromagnetic self-locking device is an elevator anti-brake loosening shell (19) mounted on a traction machine; the elevator anti-brake loosening shell (19) is provided with a positioning pin (26) which stretches out of the shell and is used for locking a braking wheel with a locking gear; a fixed iron core (24) and a movable iron core (20) of an electromagnet are arranged in the elevator anti-brake loosening shell (19); the fixed iron core (24) is provided with an electromagnetic coil (22) for controlling the movable iron core (20) and the positioning pin (26) to do retracting movement; a positioning groove (17) and the locking gear (18) are arranged beside a brake shoe block (14). The traction type elevator anti-brake loosening safety device has the beneficial technical effects that car sliding generated by elevator brake loosening caused by various reasons can be prevented; the safety of an elevator and passengers is effectively guaranteed and the accidents are prevented.
