The invention discloses an intelligent elevator group control device, comprising cameras, wherein each camera is arranged at an elevator opening of each floor of a building, and is connected with a CAN (controller area network) interface of a group controller by virtue of a CAN bus; the group controller is also connected with a main controller of an elevator in the elevator; the main controller of the elevator controls the elevator to run; the control method comprises the following steps: transmitting image information of each floor to the group controller by the camera; obtaining the number of people waiting for the elevator on the floor by image processing; fully utilizing the collected image information in a scheduling algorithm in the elevator controller; dividing the priority level of each floor according to the number of people after judging of the elevator controller; simultaneously, counting the number of distribution of people on each floor in the overall building at different time periods through the cameras, and finding out the distribution law, thus further improving and correcting the scheduling. The intelligent elevator group control device has the characteristics of high intelligent degree and automatic scheduling adjustment; energy consumption is reduced; energy sources are saved; the satisfaction degree of passengers is greatly improved.
