The invention provides a revolving crane ship renovation method based on an unmanned barge and a crane barge. The renovation method comprises the following steps: a step of renovating a body of the unmanned barge: a stern additional structure, a port additional structure and a starboard additional structure are respectively added on a stern, a port and a starboard of the body of the barge, and an original depth of the body of the barge is increased to form a main body of a crane ship; a step of adding a stand column type full-revolving crane: the crane comprises a crane base and a boom, wherein the crane base is arranged on the stern additional structure, and the boom can rotate surrounding the crane base; and a step of adding a ballast system: ballast tanks and void compartments are added in a cabin of the body of the barge, the port additional structure, the starboard additional structure and the stern additional structure to form the ballast system.
