The invention relates to a technique for processing a ballast tank duplex stainless steel surface of a stainless steel category II chemical tanker. The technique includes the following steps of assembling and welding stainless steel plates and forming a plurality of subsections; before abrasive blasting in sections, firstly brush coating lime water for the stainless steel in a cargo compartment area, covering the stainless steel by using three-protective cloth, and finally sealing the joint of the three-protective cloth by using a duct tape and fixing the three-protective cloth; spraying cast steel grits with high rigidity to the stainless steel of the plurality sections of ballast tank areas so that the roughness of the stainless steel plate surface is 55-65 microns; cleaning the stainless steel plate surface by using a dust collector; sweeping the grits by using relatively fine iron and aluminum garnet sand so as to remove the cast steel grit abrasive pollutes on the stainless steel plate surface; cleaning the stainless steel plate surface by using the dust collector again; performing inspection declaration for the cleaned stainless steel plate surface; after the inspection passes, sending the stainless steel plates into a paint shop for spraying. The stainless steel surface processed by the technique disclosed by the invention has the advantages of good surface roughness, relatively clean surface and low cost.
