The invention discloses a portable electric vehicle wheel adjusting device. The device comprises a frame and a rear wheel, wherein the rear wheel comprises two left and right half wheels; the two left and right half wheels axially slide on two sliding shafts respectively; a disengaging and engaging device is arranged between the two sliding shafts a rotary arm is fixedly arranged at the outer end of each sliding shaft; the front end of each rotary arm is hinged to the frame; the included angle between the two sliding shafts is driven to change by the disengaging and engaging device, so the two left and right half wheels are automatically separated or closed; the disengaging and engaging device comprises two vertical sliding chutes; the sliding chutes are connected with a U-shaped shifting fork; the two ends of the U-shaped shifting fork slide in the sliding chutes respectively; separation and closing of the two sliding chutes are realized when the U-shaped shifting fork rotates; the outer walls of the sliding chutes are fixed to the inner ends of the sliding shafts. The device has the advantages that the separation or closing of the wheel can be realized, and an electric vehicle can be freely switched between a two-wheel state and a three-wheel state according to an actual running environment.
