A method to control a hybrid vehicle is provided. The hybrid vehicle is provided with an internal combustion engine (2) supercharged by means of a turbocharger, a servo-assisted transmission (1) and a reversible electrical machine (14) provided to generate a torque (C) to be transmitted to the drive wheels. The method includes: recognizing a gear shift; calculating an objective torque (Cm_obj) to be delivered to the drive wheels in the instant the gear shift is recognized; and controlling the reversible electrical machine (14) to supply the objective torque (Cm_obj) to the drive wheels in the instant (t1) in which the gear shift is recognized until the instant (t2), wherein the condition recognized is that the turbocharger is in the same efficiency point at the instant (t2) as the instant (t1), and in the instant (t1), an interruption in the transmission of the torque (C) to the drive wheels during a gear shift due to the opening position of the servo-assisted clutch (6) is recognized.
