The invention relates to an in-compartment carbon monoxide concentration monitoring system for an automobile at an idling speed. The monitoring system comprises a carbon monoxide sensor, an analog-digital converter, an infrared detector, a single chip microcomputer, a communication module, an ECU (electronic control unit) and an automobile window controller, wherein the output end of the carbon monoxide sensor is connected with the input end of the analog-digital converter, the output end of the analog-digital converter is connected with the first input end of the single chip microcomputer, the output end of the infrared detector is connected with the second input end of the single chip microcomputer, the output end of the single chip microcomputer is connected with the communication module which is connected with the input end of the ECU, and the output end of the ECU is connected with the automobile window controller. The in-compartment carbon monoxide concentration monitoring system for the automobile at the idling speed is capable of protecting people in a compartment from carbon monoxide poisoning when carbon monoxide concentration in the automobile compartment is high.
