Busbar connector (S) for connecting the ends (1a, 1b) of two busbars (1) comprising a first and a second connecting element (2a, 2b), which can be connected to the busbar ends (1a, 1b) by means of screw elements (3), wherein a screw element (3) is supported on one side on a busbar and on the other side on the first connecting element (2a), and wherein a force (F2) can be generated by means of the screw element (3) which presses the second connecting element (2b) against the busbar (1), wherein the connecting elements (2a, 2b) have corresponding layering faces (2x, 2y), which are arranged at an angle to the direction of the force (F2), and owing to the force (F2) and the angled bearing faces (2x, 2y), a force component (K1) is produced transversely to the direction of the force (F2), which force component presses at least one connecting element (2a, 2b) with a further bearing face (A1, A2) in the direction of the force component (K1), in particular laterally, against the busbars (1).
