This ship is equipped with a main propeller (20), a pod propulsion device (30) steered by a steering mechanism (11), and a rudder (40) steered by a steering mechanism (12). The main propeller (20), the pod propulsion device (30) and the rudder (40) are arranged on the ship center line (C). The pod propulsion device (30) is provided with a casing (31), a pod propeller (33) and a strut (34). The pod propulsion device (30) is arranged aftward of the main propeller (20). The rudder (40) is arranged aftward of the strut (34). The main propeller (20) and the pod propeller (33) form a contra-rotating propeller. When the rudder angle of both the pod propulsion device (30) and the rudder (40) is zero, at least a part of the front edge (41) of the rudder (40) is more forward than the back edge (31a) of the casing (31). By this means, during high-speed sailing and steering, the CRP (Contra Rotating Propeller) effect is maintained, and it is possible to suppress increased resistance due to a rudder provided in addition to the pod propulsion device.
