The invention relates to a terrestrial magnetism vehicle detection device having a mutual diagnostic function. The terrestrial magnetism vehicle detection device comprises an information perception module, a processing and analyzing module and a data transmitting module, wherein the information perception module collects wireless communication information sent out by terrestrial magnetism vehicle detection devices of the same kind in a fixed peripheral areathruogh an air interface, the processing and analyzing module conducts state analysis on the wireless communication information and judges the current operation state with the combination of a judging mechanism, and the data transmitting module recodes and uploads a monitored operation state result. The mutual monitoring and mutual diagnosing of the online operation state of the terrestrial magnetism vehicle detection devices can be achieved, the related monitoring information can be uploaded, and the uncertainty of traffic information collection is lowered.
