The invention belongs to the field of hyperextension prevention of a crane oil cylinder, and particularly relates to a hyperextension preventing device for the single-cylinder bolt type crane oil cylinder. The hyperextension preventing device comprises a telescopic oil cylinder, and a distal arm of a crane boom. The hyperextension preventing device is characterized by also comprising a detection seat which is positioned at the tail of the distal arm and/or extends out from the distal arm, an arm position detection sliding block fixedly arranged on the telescopic oil cylinder, and a proximity switch, and the detection seat is provided with a hyperextension preventing detection component; when detecting the hyperextension preventing detection component, the proximity switch sends switching value signals to a controller, and the controller makes logical judgment and limits the telescopic cylinder to continue to make forward extension action. The hyperextension preventing device provided by the invention mainly has the following advantages of preventing the dangers caused by manual misoperation, needing no long-term participation of the cylinder to improve the detection accuracy, performing electrical control limiting once before structural limiting, and dually ensuring the telescopic cylinder to prevent hyperextension caused by misoperation and greatly improve the safety of the complete device.
