The invention discloses a self-locking lifting appliance. The self-locking lifting appliance comprises a first clamping part and a second clamping part which are oppositely arranged in a spaced mode. A clamping piece is hinged to the lower portion of the second clamping part. One end of the clamping piece is opposite to the first clamping part so that an object to be lifted can be clamped through the end of the clamping piece and the clamping face of the first clamping part. A lifting piece used for connecting a hoisting device is hinged to the other end of the clamping piece. The middle of the clamping piece is hinged to the second clamping part so that the clamping interval between the end of the clamping piece and the clamping face of the first clamping part can decrease when the other end of the clamping piece rotates upwards from the downward initial position. The self-locking lifting appliance is simple in structure and can correspondingly regulate the friction force exerted on the hoisted heavy object according to the weight of the hoisted heavy object, the work safety is improved, and the self-locking lifting appliance is particularly suitable for cylinders and other tubular workpieces.
