The invention provides a turnover automobile side protective guard. An upper protective guard body of the side protective guard is firmly and reliably installed on a frame of an automobile. A lower protective guard body is connected with the upper protective guard body through a hinge rod. One end of a hydraulic cylinder is hinged to the frame, and the other end of the hydraulic cylinder is hinged to the lower protective guard body. A stretching and retracting control valve of the hydraulic cylinder is controlled by a steering switch. During steering, the hydraulic cylinder stretches; after steering is finished, the hydraulic cylinder retracts and returns back. The lower protective guard body is located on the outer side of a tire after being opened, and the outer surface of the lower protective guard body is wrapped by a rubber plate. After the hydraulic cylinder stretches to enable the lower protective guard body to be opened, the distance between the lower protective guard body and a rear tire is not larger than 20 cm, and the distance between the lower protective guard body and the ground is not larger than 20 cm. Two turnover automobile side protective guards are symmetrically arranged on the left side and the right side of the automobile; when the automobile turns a corner, the side protective guards play a protecting role after a steering lamp is turned on, and the side protective guards are folded after the steering lamp is turned off.
