The invention discloses a power supply management method for a tire pressure monitoring system which comprises a plurality of sensing nodes, a display which is connected with each sensing node and used for displaying a tire pressure value fed back by each sensing node. The power supply management method comprises the following steps: a step of obtaining a vital sign signal at least within a main driver's-side range; a step of awakening the tire pressure monitoring system while detecting the vital sign signal, wherein the step comprises sending the signal to each sensing node to enable the sending node to send sampling data according to a preset time interval T0; a step of sleeping the tire pressure monitoring system while not detecting the vital sign signal, wherein the step comprises sending the signal to each sensing node to enable the sensing node to stop sending sampling data and to enter a standby state, so that only the function of monitoring the awakening signal is kept, and a display screen is closed by the display. The invention aims to provide a power supply management scheme which is relatively energy-saving and reasonable, thus saving the electric energy to the greatest extent, prolonging the service time of a battery and reducing inconvenience caused by frequently replacing the battery.
