The invention provides a balance shaft, which is mainly used for buffering twisting power caused by uneven force on both ends of the balance shaft due to overloading turbulence of an automobile. The balance shaft comprises threaded shafts, shaft seats and a beam which are designed in a split manner; the two threaded shafts are connected to the two ends of the beam through the shaft seats; the beam is composed of combined pipe shaft round steel and a fastening side guard plate on the outer side; and the two threaded shafts are fixed onto a holder. The balance shaft is characterized in that the lower parts of the shaft seats are also provided with lower supporting bodies parallel to the inner side of the holder, and the lower supporting bodies of the two threaded shafts are fixedly connected by a connection shaft. The balance shaft has the beneficial effects that the shaft seats adopt lengthened structures, the lower parts of the shaft seats are fixedly connected, the strength of the shaft seats is improved, bearing of a square steel frame and the side guard plate is effectively shared, the inside stress of the holder is also shared, and therefore the service life can be prolonged.
