The invention relates to a vehicle track and speed identification method. The laser transmitting ends and the laser receiving ends of n+1 groups of laser emitting devices are mounted at the same horizontal position on both sides of a test road section, an infrared fog penetrating camera is fixed to a portal of a road, when a vehicle passes the test road section, laser beams emitted from the laser emitting devices are blocked by the vehicle, the level state of the laser receiving ends changes, meanwhile, the infrared fog penetrating camera is triggered by a triggering device to take pictures, a time recording unit records time, and a speed calculation unit and a track identification unit calculate the speed and the track corresponding to the vehicle according to the distance of the adjacent two laser emitting devices, pictures and time and transmits the speed and the track to a determination unit. The vehicle track and speed identification method can accurately and efficiently identify the speed and the track of the vehicle, is easy to measure and low in cost and further ensures the accuracy and efficiency of the identification through the combination of laser with infrared and the combination of pictures with video.
