The invention discloses a crane and a brake mechanical trip. The brake mechanical trip comprises a buffering seat, a compressing rod and a driving connecting rod mechanism, a regulating connecting rod mechanism and a releasing connecting rod mechanism, wherein the driving connecting rod mechanism, the regulating connecting rod mechanism and the releasing connecting rod mechanism are connected sequentially; the driving connecting rod mechanism comprises a compressing plate, a buffering spring and a reset spring; the compressing rod is arranged above the compressing plate; the driving connecting rod mechanism is installed on the buffering seat; the releasing connecting rod mechanism comprises a releasing rod connected to a brake; the compressing rod is connected with an elevating mechanism; when the load of the elevating mechanism exceeds the set value, the compressing rod moves downward and loads for the compressing plate, and acts on the driving connecting rod mechanism via the compressing plate; by the drive of the regulating connecting rod mechanism and the releasing connecting rod mechanism, the releasing rod at the tail end of the releasing connecting rod mechanism rotates so as to open the brake. According to the invention, external connection power is not required, the brake mechanical trip is driven by automatically utilizing the downward pressing force caused by loading an upper elastic pulley device to move, and the brake can be released reliably.
