The invention discloses a passenger elevator guide pulley. The passenger elevator guide pulley comprises a pulley body of a Q235 carbon structure steel material, wherein a rope groove is formed in the pulley body, one circle of rollers fixed by a retainer are arranged at the bottom of the rope groove, and the rope groove is processed by the following steps: 1, coating the groove surface of the rope groove with a kerosene and graphite powder mixture in which the ratio of kerosene to graphite powder is 2:1; 2, reducing the rotating speed of the pulley body, slowly and uniformly conveying a high-temperature flame through the inner side of the rope groove, arranging a cooling water sprayer at a part 15-20 millimeters from a burner, spraying cooling water on the inner side of the rope groove by the cooling water sprayer, and enabling the cooling water sprayer and the burner to proceed synchronously; 3, placing the pulley body in an oil bath in which the oil temperature is 180-220 DEG C, and preserving the temperature for 1 hour; 4, taking the pulley body out of the oil bath and naturally cooling to the room temperature.
