The invention discloses a multi-mode vehicle suspension damping device. A giant magnetostrictive material is embedded in a vehicle suspension system by using the advantages of high energy density, high conversion efficiency and quick response speed; a damping control signal is sent through a control circuit; and a GMM is driven through a magnetostrictive effect to counteract the vibration so as to realize the vibration reduction. The multi-mode vehicle suspension damping device has the beneficial effects of simple structure, quick response and good damping system.
