In a locking region of the adjustment path, the at least one locking bolt can be brought into engagement with the toothing of the second fitting part, and in a free-pivoting area, the locking bolt cannot be brought into engagement with the toothing of the second fitting part. Furthermore, a free-pivoting element that is arranged on the second fitting part and has a control contour for interacting with the at least one locking bolt in the free-pivoting area, and a control element arranged on the toothing of the second fitting part at a boundary line between the free-pivoting area and the locking area, which sectionally interrupts the toothing of the second fitting part, are provided. According to the invention the control contour (60) of the free-pivoting element (6) in the region of the boundary line (G) between the free-pivoting area (beta) and the locking area (gamma) is designed such that in an end section (B) of the free-pivoting area (beta), the at least one locking bolt (4) does not interact with the control contour (60). Within the end section (B), the at least one locking bolt (4) interacts with the control element (300) such that within the end section (B) of the free-pivoting area ( ), the at least one locking bolt (4) cannot be brought into engagement with the toothing (30) of the second fitting part (3).
