The technology relates to the locking and charging system of a light electric vehicle comprising a charging station connected to an electric grid power supply, a primary housing mounted on the charging station and a receiver unit mounted on the light electric vehicle. The primary housing comprises a recess and a transmitter coil while the receiver unit comprises a receiver coil, housed in a receiver unit housing and an axle. The receiver coil is connected to the light electric vehicle's charging circuitry and battery. The charging station comprises a control panel, a computing unit, power electronics and a vertical and horizontal adjustor. The vertical and horizontal adjustor changes the position of the primary housing relative to the position of the receiver unit, as per the user commands. The receiver unit housing is inserted inside the recess of the primary housing and locked in place to start the charging process.
