The sustainable invention is for alteration of railway platforms for stations in-service or new stations to fulfill AODA Level Boarding requirements. Direct alteration to the required 635mm platforms would result in a huge horizontal gap from the train floor. The train floor cannot be extended until the step is required for boarding at 127mm. All elements are prefabricated offsite, installation is done mostly during station off service hours. Due prefabrication the on-site work, safety risk, service impact, throughout work, duration and cost is minimal and quality is high. Damaged elements can be refurbished offsite. Starts with alteration to final position of the vertical access and the central core. Then platforms will be installed from step elevation to the central core elevation. The stepping-out step eliminates the huge gap. After no need for the 127mm boarding the platform edge will be lifted to 635mm for AODA Level Boarding.
