ABSTRACT Described here is a transducer tether that may be used to harvest kinetic energy from jarring movements of the load it secures. It may be used in any place where a regular tether such as a rope or stabilizing fixture would be used, and it may be particularly useful in marine vessels. It contains at least one dielectric elastomer generator (DEG) which harvests the kinetic energy imposed on the tether while securing its load, and converts it to electricity. CA 3061219 2020-03-26
