A system for controlling suspension characteristics of a vehicle by gathering data from various input sources, computing a specific configuration setting for each damper, and applying the setting to each damper. The system receives various input data corresponding to a vehicle state, and a path state where the vehicle state can be derived from the vehicle position, vehicle heading, vehicle speed, vehicle roll, and vehicle pitch, and the path state can be derived from map data through the controller consisting of the path curvature, path bank, and path grade. The controller can be either locally contained within the vehicle and electronically coupled to a communication medium, or can be remotely located outside the vehicle and connected to a Wi-Fi antenna for remote processing. The dampers receive damper profiles from the controller and adjust themselves accordingly.
