The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for detecting at least one interfering body in a system for inductive energy transmission, wherein the system for inductive energy transmission comprises at least one primary coil unit (18) for generating at least part of an electromagnetic power transmission field, wherein the apparatus comprises at least one interfering body detector means (48, 25, 50), wherein the at least one interfering body detector means (48, 25, 50) comprises at least one field coil means (12) for generating an excitation field and at least one detector coil means (14) which is assigned to the at least one field coil means (12), wherein the apparatus comprises at least one evaluation means (25) for detecting a state of coupling between the at least one field coil means (12) and the at least one detector coil means (14) and/or for detecting a change in the state of coupling, wherein the interfering body is detectable depending on the state of coupling and/or the change in the state of coupling, wherein the apparatus comprises at least one compensation means (16) for taking into consideration an electromagnetic influence of the primary coil unit (18) and/or the secondary coil unit (38) on the state of coupling between the at least one field coil means (12) and the at least one detector coil means (14), and to a system for inductive energy transmission.
