The present invention relates to an energy absorption device (1) comprising: - a mounting (23), a dissipating element (14) assembled around said mounting (23) and intended to deform plastically when compressed by an impact, - balls (12) fitted with a given pressure against the dissipating element (14) and intended to deform said dissipating element (14), characterized in that said mounting (23) has grooves (24), wherein said balls (12) are fitted opposite the grooves (24) in the mounting (23) and are intended to deform the dissipating element (14) along the length of the grooves (24).

    La présente invention se rapporte à un dispositif d'absorption d'énergie (1) comprenant: - un support (23), - un élément dissipateur (14) monté autour dudit support (23) et destiné à se déformer plastiquement sous l'effet d'un choc, - des billes (12) montées avec une pression donnée contre l'élément dissipateur (14) et destinées à déformer l'élément dissipateur (14), caractérisé en ce que le support (23) est muni de rainures (24), lesdites billes (12) étant montées en regard des rainures (24) du support (23) et étant destinées à déformer l'élément dissipateur (14) sur la longueur des rainures (24).
