A method of splicing together a first core member and a second core member, including positioning the first core member relative to the second core member, and expanding a foam mixture in a splicing area until the foam mixture becomes an expanded foam, the splicing area being formed between an exposed portion of the first core member and an exposed portion of the second core member. The expanded foam creates a structural bond between the first core member and the second core member. A method of joining a core member to a structure and a core stiffened structure with a first core member spliced to a second core member with an expanded foam are also disclosed.

    Une méthode de raccordement dun premier élément de noyau et dun second élément de noyau, y compris le positionnement du premier élément de noyau par rapport au second élément de noyau, et lexpansion dun mélange de mousse dans la zone de raccordement jusquà ce que le mélange de mousse devienne une mousse expansée, la zone de raccordement étant formée entre une partie exposée du premier élément de noyau et une partie exposée du second élément de noyau.
