There is a need for a window and related installation method that simplifies the installation process and improves the seal around the structural window of an aircraft. Accordingly, an aircraft window comprises an outer window assembly including a structural window having a plurality of brackets around a perimeter of the outer window assembly, an inner window assembly, a seal adapted to seal a perimeter of the inner window assembly against the outer window assembly, and a plurality of retaining features around a perimeter of the structural window for retaining the inner window assembly on the outer window assembly and for forcing the seal against the structural window. The retaining features include a plurality of interlocking clips and receptacles, each receptacle being mounted on one of the plurality of brackets and having a socket, and each clip including a plug receivable in a snap-fit relationship within a corresponding one of the sockets.
