The present invention enables the easy apprehension by an operator of an obstacle that should be paid the most attention when a plurality of obstacles are detected in the vicinity of a dump truck. A vicinity monitoring device is provided with a plurality of cameras (11-16), a plurality of radar devices (21-28), an obstacle processing unit (33), and a display controller (40). The plurality of cameras (11-16) obtain image data of the surroundings of the dump truck. The plurality of radar devices (21-28) detect obstacles in the surroundings of the dump truck. The obstacle processing unit (33) and the display controller (40) display at a monitor (34) a birds-eye-view image of the surroundings of the dump truck by means of the image data of the plurality of cameras, and when one or more obstacles are detected by the radar devices (21-28), the camera images that image the obstacles are identified, and in accordance with an order of priority set by means of the travelling state, the camera image having the highest level of priority is displayed at the monitor (34) alongside the birds-eye-view image.
