The invention relates to an elastomer composition for a tyre bearing heavy loads, the composition being based on at least one elastomer matrix, fillers including graphite and a reinforcing filler, and a vulcanisation system, characterised in that: - the elastomer matrix comprises at least 50 phr of a diene elastomer selected from the group consisting of isoprene elastomers, butadiene elastomers and mixtures of these diene elastomers; - the reinforcing filler predominantly comprises a carbon black; - the graphite has a crystallite size Lc ranging from 80 to 500 nm, more preferably ranging from 90 to 400 nm, more preferably 100 to 300 nm; - the total content of fillers is less than or equal to 65 phr.
