The device (40) is designed to be movably placed in a dedicated location of a machine using a forklift truck. It comprises passages for the teeth (401) of a fork of a forklift truck and a locking system (300) for selectively locking the device in the dedicated location. The locking system comprises at least one locking member (301, 302) which is movable between a locking position and an unlocking position in order to be engaged and disengaged, respectively, with a retaining member of the dedicated location of the machine. The locking member (301, 302) is resiliently or gravitationally biased in the direction of the locking position. It comprises at least one actuating member (311) extending into a passage for a tooth (401) of the fork of the forklift truck to be actuated by the latter so as to move the locking member into the unlocking position.
