Abstract A financial mechanism to reimburse electric vehicle drivers for electricity network demand response, by linking the typical demand response signal and associated payments from the electricity retailer directly to the Electric Vehicle (EV) Charge Network Provider and their associated network customers, rather than to the fixed site retail customer as typically occurs in demand response scenarios.
